Mind the greenwash – ESG integration or ESG exaggeration?

Scott Spencer
Investment Manager

Managers are increasingly keen to promote their ESG credentials. But in an ‘us too’ marketplace how often do claims match reality? Are your clients at risk from overstated ESG claims? We’ll explain how we work to avoid greenwash by diving deep into how managers integrate ESG considerations in their investment processes and explore why a robust and clear approach matters.

It’s more than just price!

Chris Forgan
Portfolio Manager, Fidelity International

Passive funds and ETFs are now embedded in the investment landscape and have experienced exponential growth - but delivering value for money isn’t always as simple as picking the cheapest in the market. There’s much more to selecting a good passive manager when you’re trying to achieve an attractive risk-reward outcome for clients. We’ll help you identify good passive managers to bring together in a global portfolio.

Everything changes, but nothing changes

Amanda Sillars
Fund Manager and ESG Director, Independent funds

The past few years have presented extraordinary challenges to investors and the need to be flexible remains fundamental. For seasoned investors though, the Covid-19 crisis is arguably but one major inflection point in a long series of significant changes in the global economy and markets. The Jupiter Merlin team will explore how a multi-manager approach has served investors well over the years and look at the opportunities such an approach can take advantage of.

What my kids have taught me about suitability and investing

John Husselbee
Head of Multi-Asset at Liontrust

James Klempster
Deputy Head of Multi-Asset at Liontrust

No two children are the same. Children have differing speeds of maturity, types of behaviour, interests and aspirations, with the way in which they are nurtured and developed changing over time as they do. At the heart of this is suitability and personalising their development. And so it is with nurturing clients and their investment portfolios. In this presentation, we will explain what families can teach us about investment, the importance of choosing the most suitable risk profile, product structure and investment approach, and how Liontrust can help advisers with suitability.
